Night Owls Battle Social Media Addiction On ‘Better With Age’

It's a snarling return from the Leeds trio...

Leeds trio Night Owls don't hold back.

The band's grunge-indebted sound has a ferocious punch, with their concise power trio line up channelling youthful rage.

New EP 'Tragically Human' arrives next month, a blistering return that finds the three-piece expanding their sound while retaining that remarkable precision.

New song 'Better With Age' tumbles into view with rare abandon, all fuzzed out riffs and caveman drumming, echoing Mudhoney, or even early Idlewild.

Lyrically, Night Owls bite back at social media overdose, commenting on technology as addiction and the alienating impact it can have.

They explain: "'Better With Age' is a commentary on this generation’s obsession with social media and how people portray their lives through rose-tinted filters online. It’s written from the perspective of someone who’s become addicted to social media and how it’s become addictive."
