Fabric dates confirmed

Electronic prodigy Nicolas Jaar has confirmed plans for two rare shows in London.

South America may not throw up many producers, but when it does they tend to be great ones. Ten years ago Ricardo Villalobos revolutionised techno, now Chilean producer Nicolas Jaar is being tipped to have the same impact.

It's a heady claim. However the press hyperbole for debut album 'Space Is Only Noise' has pushed the young beatsmith's reputation into the stratosphere.

Using a full band set up, Nicolas Jaar played a sold out show in London earlier this year. The results were breathtaking, sitting somewhere between free jazz, out there electronics and straight ahead techno.

Now the producer has confirmed plans for a new visit to London. Fabric will be the venue, with Nicolas Jaar set to perform at the London club across two nights (July 27th & 28th).

The full band set up features Ian Sims on drums, Will Epstein on saxophone and keys, Dave Harrington on guitar / electronics and Nicolas Jaar himself on piano, vocals and electronics. Speaking recently, Will Epstein used the metaphor of a wheel to explore Jaar's concept of live performance.

“We explore everything through the lens of a profound interest in human creativity. In high school, Nico and I used to refer to the music we loved and the music we loved to make as something akin to a wheel" he said.

"The music of ‘Space Is Only Noise’, wonderfully, feels very much like this. As such, in performing the music live, I feel it´s my responsibility to explode the wheel, but only so far as to keep it moving.”

Nicolas Jaar has confirmed the following shows:

27 London Fabric
28 London Fabric
