It's called 'Lovely Creatures'...

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced plans for 'Lovely Creatures' - a new 'Best Of' compilation.

The group emerged from the ashes of The Birthday Party, before racing into dark, uncharted waters they would call their own.

Developing a lengthy, highly influential catalogue, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have decided that the time is right to oversee a 'Best Of'.

Nick Cave explains: “There are some people out there who just don't know where to start with The Bad Seeds. Others know the catalogue better than I do! This release is designed to be a way into three decades of music making. That's a lot of songs. The songs we have chosen are the ones that have stuck around, for whatever reason. Some songs are those that demand to be played live. Others are lesser songs that are personal favourites of ours. Others are just too big and have too much history to leave out. And there are those that didn't make it, poor things. They are the ones you must discover by yourselves.”

'Lovely Creatures' arrives shortly, and unites material from debut album 'From Her To Eternity' through to their fifteenth studio album 'Push The Sky Away'.

The album was compiled by Nick Cave and founding member Mick Harvey, with help from the current Bad Seeds, while the Super Deluxe edition includes previously unseen photos and memorabilia collected in a hardcover book.

'Lovely Creatures' was originally meant to be released in 2014, before being postponed - check out a full statement from Nick Cave HERE.
