'Honest Words' due on September 19th

King Creosote and Jon Hopkins are set to release their new EP 'Honest Words' on September 19th.

On paper, matching a Scottish acoustic troubadour to a ground breaking electronic producer isn't the most suitable of matches. Yet somehow King Creosote and Jon Hopkins have blended perfectly.

Hooking up last year, Jon Hopkins and King Creosote began work on a collaborative album. Recorded in England, the material focussed exclusively on the singer's Scottish hometown of Anstruther.

Expertly put together, 'Diamond Mine' was - if you'll pardon the pun - a real gem. Nominated on the shortlist for the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize, the announcement was as surprising as it was richly deserved.

Fresh from this success, King Creosote and Jon Hopkins have prepared a new EP. Containing some totally unheard material, the 'Honest Words' EP is more personal than the character studies which dominated 'Diamond Mine'.

Title cut 'Honest Words' is matched to the fantastically named 'Aurora Boring Alias'. Meanwhile, the EP is rounded up by a re-working version of album highlight 'Bats In The Attic'.

Pre-orders are available now with 'Honest Words' set to drop on September 12th on both 12 inch vinyl and digital download.

Meanwhile, King Creosote and Jon Hopkins have confirmed plans for a series of summer shows. Festival appearances at Summer Sundae and Bestival are planned, while headline shows include performances in Glasgow, Manchester, London and more.

Tickets are on sale now.

King Creosote and Jon Hopkins are set to play the following shows:

12 Leicester Summer Sundae Weekender

7 Glasgow Grand Old Opry Club
8 Manchester Deaf Institute
9 London Queen Elizabeth Hall
10 Bestival
