Studio sessions due this year

Martin Gore has revealed that Depeche Mode are set to head back into the studio later this year.
Depeche Mode remain a global phenomenon. Releasing 'Sounds Of The Universe' back in 2009, the band seemed to underline just how massive they are. Completing an enormous world tour, the synth pop pioneers then decided to take a break.
Martin Gore recently completed an album with Vince Clarke, and during the press round the producer has let slip a few more details about potential new material from Depeche Mode.
Chatting with the head prefects of pop over at The Quietus, Martin Gore argued that the recent collaboration had left him feeling rejuvenated. "It was a nice break for me to be able to go and do something completely different that doesn't involve poring over lyrics and having to think about vocal melodies," he said.
"I think I went back to actually writing for the band with much more vigour afterwards, because I had taken such a break. It gave me a real creative impetus."
Continuing, Martin Gore described shifting between the two projects. "I went straight from finishing the VCMG record into writing for the band," he said.
"I think even though I used a lot of the same kind of instrumentation, I immediately went into a completely different headspace. The stuff I've been doing for the band is completely different to VCMG."
As for a timescale, Martin Gore explained that Depeche Mode are set to begin writing sessions in March and are "hoping to be finished by the end of the year."
VCMG (Vince Clarke and Martin Gore) are set to release new album 'SSSS' on March 12th.
