New Child For Dave Grohl

Second child for Foo Fighters man

Foo Fighters mainman Dave Grohl is celebrating after welcoming a new child into his family.

Dave Grohl has been married to wife Jordyn for some time, and the two have already had one child together. However the pair are celebrating after Jordyn gave birth to new daughter Harper Willow Grohl.

Weighing 7 pounds and 8 ounces, Harper Willow Grohl came into the world on April 17th. A delighted Dave Grohl released statement confirmed that the child is named after his uncle, and is "loud as hell".

Dave Grohl began life as the drummer in seminal American group Nirvana. Grohl played on the group's hugely successful album 'Nevermind' and performed at the band's superb Reading festival show in 1992 which has now been released on DVD.

However he had always worked on his own songs, and when that group came to its sad finale he stepped out of the shadows with Foo Fighters.

Recruiting musicians to play around him, Foo Fighters have become one of the biggest bands on the planet. Their most recent album 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace' was a huge success, showcasing Grohl's versatile songwriting.

Foo Fighters then went on a massive world tour to support the record, playing some of their biggest shows to date. However the tour has left them exhausted and the group have gone on hiatus to rest.
