Electro rockers return

Seminal electro rockers Depeche Mode have announced their return with new album 'Sounds Of The Universe' due to be released on April 20th.

Emerging from Basildon in the early 80s, Depeche Mode rode the electro wave until finding their own identity as stadium shagging pop giants. Massive in America yet strangely reviled by the British music press, they crafted some of the biggest albums of the 80s dominating charts on either side of the Atlantic.

Returning to vintage analogue equipment, the new album was crafted in a New York studio and is their first since 2005. Producer Ben Hillier returns on the band's most liberated and experimental release in some time.

Having sold over 100 million albums around the globe, Depeche Mode have clearly decided they have nothing to lose. With a massive world tour in the pipeline, the band have already released their comeback single 'Wrong' - a furious blast of intent that bodes well for the future.

Depeche Mode are set to release their new album 'Sounds Of The Universe' on April 20th.
