Plus, a new film project is mooted

Neon Indian has outlined plans for a Record Store Day release alongside a London show.

Neon Indian isn't one to sit still. Stopping by SXSW recently, Neon Indian was seemingly roped into a new film project. Pitchfork points fans towards gossip blog Just Jared, which contains photos from the alleged shoot.

Neon Indian apparently shot a scene for the upcoming film 'Lawless', which will be directed by Terrence Malick. According to IMDB, 'Lawless' is about "sexual obsession and betrayal set against the music scene in Austin, Texas."

The news comes as Neon Indian prepares to hit Europe. The Texan producer will release new single 'Hex Girlfriend' on May 28th, with the track due to gain a limited edition pressing in time for Record Store Day.

The Record Store Day release will be pressed onto green vinyl, with the flip devoted to the Twin Shadow remix of ‘Hex Girlfriend’. Stream the original below.
