Muse Tour Sells Out
85,000 tickets go in record time
Returning rock goliaths Muse has sold all 85,000 tickets for their upcoming UK tour in under a half hour.
Muse are back. The blue haired threesome rock harder than any other band in Britain, with their epic sound sending them sending them soaring into a world dominated by arena tours and gold discs.
The band formed in Teignmouth, and from the start seemed to have rather more ambition than your average indie act. Matt Bellamy's wail sounded like Freddie Mercury filtered through Thom Yorke - prog yet with a modern slant.
Perhaps the culmination of Muse' career thus far is their stint at Wembley in 2007. The band played a storming set in front of 80,000 fans capturing the entire event on film. Released as the film 'Haarp' the set has comforted fans who have been stuck for new material.
The group last released a new album in 2006 with 'Black Holes And Revelations'. A massive success, it is perhaps Muse' most grandiose gesture yet. In recent interviews the band revealed that they had begun working on new material, which is set to be even more ambitious.
Matt Bellamy claimed to be entranced with classical composers, and planned to add an orchestral element to the band's music. Not surprising, really, given the Wagnerian nature of the group's live shows.
Forthcoming album 'The Resistance' is the culmination of many month's work. Self-produced the album is currently being mixed by Mark Stent - who has previously worked with Massive Attack, Oasis and more.
The forthcoming tour is set to kick off in Sheffield Arena on November 4th and will finish with a two night stand at London's O2 Arena. Sadly for some, tickets for all dates are sold out.

4 Sheffield Arena
5 Liverpool Echo Arena
6 Dublin O2 Depot
9 Glasgow SECC
10 Birmingham NIA
