Muse To Spark Revolution?

Glenn Beck thinks so...

American right-wing commentator has claimed that a recent Muse performance could spark a revolution.

Muse are a pretty good live act. The trio make an enormous sound which seems capable of filling any possible arena, pushing them into prominent slots at the biggest festivals across the globe.

Appearing at the Grammy awards, Muse blasted through 'Uprising' giving a typically grandiose performance. Given the award for 'Best Rock Album' with their recent effort 'The Resistance' the night was a success.

Yet the performance could well have lasting repercussions. Right wing commentator Glenn Beck - the sort of man only the United States seem to produce - has claimed that the show could spark a revolution.

Speaking on Fox News, the broadcaster said: "You have basically a call for revolution by this group".

Continuing, Beck explained that this came from their European background. "Europeans have been degraded for a very long time," he said. "Really, since the beginning of time. They have had very few glimpses of real freedom."

White middle class musicians - when will they be freed from the ancient shackles of oppression?

Muse have had dealings with Glenn Beck in the past. The broadcaster claimed that Muse had asked him to withdraw his support in the past. After being refuted by the band themselves, Beck later claimed that he had been joking.

The band are entering a quiet period. The heavy touring for 'The Resistance' has ended, leading to a number of outlandish stories. Recently Muse were tipped to perform in space, after the group revealed that they had been discussing the possibility.
