Muse Reveal Album Title
'The Resistance' due for release soon
Epic prog rock revivalists Muse have revealed the title of their forthcoming album will be 'The Resistance'.
A trio of misfits and outcasts in the small Devonshire town of Teignmouth, Muse banded together around a love of music. Their early material was inspired by Radiohead, but in Matt Bellamy's voice and songcraft the group had their own unique identity.
Growing in popularity, the band released debut album 'Showbiz' in 2000. Since then the group's ambitions have sky rocketed, with their last album 'Black Holes & Revelations' becoming a massive global success.
The record spawned the huge hit 'Supermassive Black Hole' which has now become the band's signature track.
Included in Guitar Hero III the song is an all out prog thrash, stunning assault on the sense that never once lets up. The group have been working on a follow up for some time, telling fans in an online interview that they were working on songs inspired by classical music.
A sensational live act, Muse followed the release of the album with a series of massive shows including a triumphant performance at Wembley Stadium. The band had played Wembley before, but on this occasion it felt like a real breakthrough.
Released as the DVD / CD 'HAARP' the package contained a behind the scenes look at Muse as they prepared for the biggest show of their career thus far.
Matt Bellamy revealed that the new material was Classic FM friendly. “As a large percentage of the composition is orchestral, I have never wanted to collaborate with a string arranger as they may make it 'theirs',” he said.
“So I have been arranging the orchestral elements myself which is taking a long time due to my inexperience with large scale scoring."
“It should hopefully make the next album as the final three tracks.”
In a Twitter posting Muse revealed:
"Drum roll please... The new Muse album title is... The Resistance."
Muse are due to release their new album 'The Resistance' next year, with a number of tour dates planned for Britain, Europe and the United States throughout the Autumn.

I feel f**king sick that
I feel f**king sick that this mob of weak rip off artists are dredging up another sump load of directionless rock/ aural torture. Y'know- mediocre wall paper music's fine- i can just about tune it out of my life but when radiohead is so obviously the template for the music and Jeff Buckley so sickenly mimicked in the vocals - I can't ignore it.
How these wank-spiders ever evolved beyond a tribute band quite frankly makes me want to hunt them down and murder them.
there- i said it- i would like to murder Muse.
With a hammer.
Or a simple house brick.
Who's with me?
