Muse Plan Three Part Symphony

New Album Could Hold Some Surprises

In a new webchat with fans Muse singer Matt Bellamy has revealed that the group's forthcoming album may contain a three-part symphony, which he claims he has been working on for a number of years.

The band are currently holed up in the studio working on a follow-up to 2006's album 'Black Holes And Revelations'. Muse took a break from the writing sessions to speak with fans, who are eagerly anticipating the group's next move.

According to Bellamy the new symphonic work has yet to be titled, but he has been working on it for a number of years. “As a large percentage of the composition is orchestral, I have never wanted to collaborate with a string arranger as they may make it 'theirs',” he said.

“So I have been arranging the orchestral elements myself which is taking a long time due to my inexperience with large scale scoring.

“It should hopefully make the next album as the final three tracks.”

The new album by Muse is currently untitled, but is scheduled to be released in 2009.
