Muse Italian TV Mime Stunt

Watch the action unfold!

Stadium prog trio Muse got their own back on Italian TV bosses recently – and you can watch the mayhem unfold!

Muse may be set for global stardom, but that doesn’t mean they’ve lost their sense of humour. Hell, with ambitions as huge as their material suggest the trio would have to operate with their tongue firmly in their cheek.

To record their new album ‘The Resistance’ Muse retreated to Italy. Finding themselves at home in the Mediterranean climate it seems as if the sun went to their heads with their latest album being perhaps their most lavish to date.

A huge hit in the UK, ‘The Resistance’ has scored the biggest first week sales of any album so far this year. Muse celebrated with a trip to Italy, where they were due to perform on a number of TV shows.

However when arriving at Italian TV show ‘Quelli Che Il Calcio’ producers demanded that they mime along to a backing track. Infuriated, they sat down and swapped instruments with Matt Bellamy sitting behind the drums.

Speaking to the press afterwards the presenters of the show seemed none the wiser, with ,a href=”http://www.clashmusic.com/artists/muse”>Muse barely able to keep a straight face during the interview.
