Muse Break Into Top Ten

New album out today

Returning stadium prog heroes Muse have smashed into the Top Ten with their new single 'Uprising'.

After three years of waiting, Muse are back. The Teignmouth trio vowed to take their time after the success of their last album 'Black Holes And Revelations' - which became the most successful of their career to date.

Retreating to Italy, Muse began work on a gloriously over the top new record. In recent interviews the band have cited rock, glam and prog as influences in addition to claiming to have written a three part symphony.

Titled 'The Resistance' the band's new album is out today (September 14th). Muse fans across the globe are celebrating, with the trio themselves breaking out the champagne after new single 'Uprising' entered the Top Ten.

Taken from the new album, 'Uprising' is a typically bombastic track. Smashing into the Top Ten at number nine, it has become one of Muse' most successful singles to date.

Previous release 'Super Massive Black Hole' claims the record for the highest charting Muse single to date. Reaching number four it was the second of the band's four Top Ten singles to date.

Number one this week was claimed by Pixie Lott, whose new track 'Boys and Girls' smashed in at pole position. Dizzee Rascal's indian summer continues with 'Holiday' reaching number six, while Little Boots holds on at number ten with 'Remedy'.
