Muse Album Rumours

Could new LP be on the cards?

Dastardly goings on in the Muse camp recently with a fan site claiming that their fifth studio album will be released in September.

Muse have been strangely quiet of late. Previous album 'Black Holes And Revelations' was released in 2006 to massive acclaim, breaking the group into the mainstream. Huge tours followed with the band playing spectacular shows at Wembley Arena. Since then, however, the band have lain low, with much anticipation around their new album.

Fan site Microcuts has suggested that the group will release a new album in September, thanking "an insider close to the band's record label, Warners" for the tip.

Last year bassist Chris Wolstenholme wrote to fans saying a new album could appear in 2009. However he also warned that "it is more important for us to make the best album we have made to date," he wrote, "and if that means it comes out in 2010 then we don't mind".

Muse have yet to respond to the fans' claims.
