Mumford & Sons Tour Update

Marcus Mumford breaks his hand

Mumford & Sons have given fans an update after Marcus Mumford was injured in a recent accident.

Commercial darlings and critical whipping boys, Mumford & Sons seem to divide opinion like few other acts. Returning to the UK, the band recently completed a massive - and quite unusual - tour.

Sadly, though, the band's further tour plans have been thrown into disarray. Singer Marcus Mumford recently broke his hand, forcing the massively successful group to re-work their summer plans.

Cancelling two shows in Hultsfred and Aarhus, Mumford & Sons have managed to find a solution. A posting on the band's Facebook page reads as follows:

Hello all - firstly the band are very sorry to have disappointed all fans who attended Hultsfred and Aarhus this weekend, as you know their appearances had to be cancelled due to Marcus breaking his hand. He is currently in a cast, and will be for the next few weeks.

The band have been working every minute they can over this past week with two old tour friends, Harry Cargill on guitar and Chris Maas on drums, to rehearse a set that will be sonically as close as possible to what you expect from a Mumford & Sons gig.

Mumford & Sons are currently working on their second album, with a September release being mooted.
