In case you've not noticed, strange things are happening to grime.

The scene is undergoing a creative resurgence, with labels such as Butterz, Keysound and more showcasing new producers.

Mumdance has consistently moved back barriers across the past 12 months, following collaborations with Logos and Pinch as well as his own 'Twists & Turns' mixtape.

Signing to Rinse, new EP 'Take Time' is due to be released on June 16th. A four track document, the Novelist enhanced title cut is online now.

Utilising sparse, metallic, bass-saturated beats, 'Take Time' is an alien, imposing structure. Rising MC Novelist sprays words across the jagged percussion, resulting in something which has a rare physicality whilst also refusing to fall into the many of the pre-laid traps set for grime production.

Check it out now.

'Take Time' is set to be released on June 16th. Tracklisting:

1. Take Time ft Novelist
2. The Sprawl
3. Don’t Get Lemon ft Spyro
4. Take Time (Instrumental)
