Mott The Hoople Reunion Shows
Glam legends re-unite
Glam rock legends Mott The Hoople have reformed to play a three night stand at the historic Hammersmith Apollo venue in London.
Veterans of the London club scene, Mott The Hoople formed in 1969 under the leadership of singer Ian Hunter. A powerful live act, Mott had a huge following including many young fans who would go on to spearhead the punk movement.
A world away from the excesses of prog rock, the band's stripped down anthems fired up a young Mick Jones who would later join The Clash.
The band were on the verge of quitting when long time fan David Bowie gifted them the song 'All The Young Dudes'. A massive hit, it broke the group on the charts and was the first of a string of hit singles.
Mott The Hoople have now reformed and will play the Hammermsith Apollo - where one half of their 'Mott The Hoople Live' album was recorded. With the initial dates now sold out, the band have announced a third night to what will surely be one of the year's most memorable gigs.
Mott The Hoople will play the following dates:
London
1 October Hammersmith Apollo
2 October Hammersmith Apollo
3 October Hammersmith Apollo
