Morrissey’s Bodyguard Issues Legal Suit

Claiming he was told to "hurt" fan...

Earlier this year, an over-zealous Morrissey fan stumbled onstage at an American show.

In response, the singer took on extra security. Amongst their number was Bradley Steyn, who – it seems – did not last long on the tour.

Now issuing a legal suit, Steyn alleges that he was uncomfortable with orders to "hurt" noted Morrissey super-fan David Tseng. (via TMZ)

Tseng, of course, has a lengthy and truculent relationship with Morrissey. The owner of the Morrissey-Solo website, the singer took the step of banning David Tseng from his concerts back in 2011.

Responding, Morrissey has issued a statement via True To You denying these claims:

“The very idea that I would ask a complete stranger (Bradley Steyn) to physically attack David Tseng surely cannot register with any sane person as being likely. As mildly irritating as David Tseng may be, he is not someone who troubles me enough to even bother with… The shabby truth of this drama is that Bradley Steyn has been trying to extract money from what he terms “the Morrissey tour”, and he has failed. He is now desperate, and this story is his latest escapade to gain someone’s attention… Please note that Bradley Steyn’s statement is now in the hands of the Los Angeles Police Department, and is subject to both criminal and civil action.”
