Morrissey's Autobiography Is Out Now

Morrissey's autobiography is out now - and it's immediately caused a stir.

In the works for a number of years, Morrissey's autobiography hit a typically desperate final snag. A row between the singer and Penguin Books saw the release shelved, with the pair said to be at loggerheads over the final content.

Thankfully, the dispute was swiftly resolved and 'Autobiography' went on sale in the wee small hours of the morning. Immediately causing a stir, the book opens with the rather prosaic sentence "My childhood is streets upon streets upon streets..."

The revelations include:

- Morrissey had his first relationship at the age of 35 with a man named Jake Walters
- He considered having a child with Tina Dehgani
- The singer believes that the NME held a meeting in 1992 to 'Get Morrissey'
- Morrissey was seemingly offered roles in both Eastenders and Emmerdale
- Nick Kent allegedly asked to join The Smiths following the departure of Johnny Marr
- Morrissey believes that he was the victim of a kidnap attempt in Mexico back in September 2007

'Autobiography' is out now.
