Morrissey World Tour Continues
Update: Shows announced
Following a string of recent live cancellations, Mozza has now detailed that he will continue his world tour later this week.
The singer kicked off a recent May tour recently, but just weeks into the shows was forced to cancel many dates in England due to reoccurring throat problems that saw the singer ordered not to perform live by doctors.
Today Morrissey has added that that he will resume his world tour later this week via MySpace. In a blog message, the singer said he will resume his tour in Luxembourg on Friday (June 5).
The singer then went on to apologize to fans for the cancellations. He then wrote: 'I have been reconstructed by a Wiltshire hospital and I am as close to good health as I'm likely to get. I apologize to everyone caught up in the to-ing and fro-ing, but the disappointment of postponement is less than the disappointment of hearing me sing on one engine... I've endured a titanic struggle against an intolerable virus lately, and although Hull, Hartlepool and Manchester were nights that comprised a whole life, the physical limits were reached. False notes crush the soul."
The singer kick-started the year with a show at this year's Coachella Festival that saw the outspoken vegetarian walk off due to the smell of burger stalls. In the past the 'Meat Is Murder' singer has also boycotted Canada due to its annual seal cull that sees the death of thousands of seal pups every year.
