Morrissey On Victoria Beckham

Not a fan, it seems

Mancunian minister of misery Morrissey has been venting his fury on pop culture recently, launching barbs against Jamie Oliver and Victoria Beckham.

An icon with The Smiths, Morrissey's solo career has had its ups and downs yet the singer remains an arresting figure. A noted wit, his interviews tend to mix tender comments on his life with sharp observations of pop culture.

Morrissey has been working on his re-energised new album 'Years Of Refusal'. Dogged by law suits and accusations of racism, the beleaguered star has dug deep to produce an album that can sit alongside the finest of his solo years.

Music industry newsletter CMU reports a new interview in which Morrissey is asked how he would spend his last day on earth. Questioned on who he would kick in the eye, the singer replies "that meat-fed horror Jamie 'Orrible' Oliver, if he's a master chef, then I'm Miss Brazil 1970".

Morrissey goes on to claim that "it will be worth being dead just to get away from Victoria Beckham".

Bizarrely, the singer is probed on his preferred method of death with Morrissey wishing to be "concussed by a coconut".

Morrissey releases his new album 'Years Of Refusal' on February 16th.
