Morrissey is recovering from concussion following a spell at a hospital in Los Angeles.
2013 has been a profoundly mixed year for Morrissey. On a professional level, the singer has been able to independently release a wonderful concert document shot at California's Hollywood High School.
Alongside this, Morrissey was able to finally bring his 'Autobiography' to publication via Penguin Classics. Yet despite these successes, the singer has been dogged by ill health including a recent bout of food poisoning from Peruvian penne pasta.
A recent statement on True To You indicates that the indie icon's run of bad luck is continuing. Suffering concussion, Morrissey received treatment at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
The statement in full:
Morrissey has now been discharged from Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles following treatment for concussion, whiplash and an arm injury.
Morrissey would like to thank the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai for their "outstanding level of care and attention".
