Morrissey Plays Royal Albert Hall

Jokes about recent collapse

British musical icon Morrissey made an emotional return to live duties last night (October 27th) just days after being rushed to hospital.

Morrissey has a special relationship with his fans. Sparking scenes of hysteria amongst fully grown men, the singer's ability to turn melancholy into glamourous has affected millions of people around the world.

So when the singer collapsed onstage recently, it's safe to say that more than a few people were worried. Morrissey managed to complete the opening song at a Swindon show on Saturday (October 24th) before collapsing.

Rushed to hospital with breathing difficulties, he was later discharged and was returned home to rest. A further show in Bournemouth was cancelled, with fans left to speculate on the future of Morrissey's British tour.

However the singer rushed back to live duties last night (October 27th) with a stunning show at London's Royal Albert Hall. Emerging onstage to rapturous applause the indie icon smashed his way through 'This Charming Man'.

"Fasten your seatbelts" he told the crowd. "It's going to be a bumpy night!"

Later on Morrissey laughed about his recent onstage collapse. After playing 'How Soon Is Now?' the singer suddenly fell to the ground before quipping: "Thank you Swindon!"

Later on in the show the singer told the audience: "The doctor said I shouldn't smile. I told him I don't".

Ending his set with a rendition of the solo classic 'First Of The Gang To Die' the singer was on fine form, running through a variety of Smiths classics, rarities and hit from his recent album 'Years Of Refusal'.

Morrissey played the following:

'This Charming Man'
'Black Cloud'
