T In The Park has expanded once again, with the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Frightened Rabbit set to join the bill.
Toasting their 20th anniversary in some style, T In The Park are set to welcome a host of new acts to Balado. With appearances from Rihanna, Mumford & Sons and - tantalisingly - Kraftwerk in the offing, the team are still working on adding a few more names to the line up.
This morning T In The Park made a series of fresh announcements. Gearing up for the release of their new album, New York giants Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to travel to Balado for what will no doubt be a memorable performance.
Elsewhere, Frightened Rabbit are set to return to Scotland for an appearance at T In The Park. Recently cracking the Top Ten for the first time with 'Pedestrian Verse' the band are set to commence what could rank as a breakthrough tour.
Taking time out to help T In The Park toast their birthday, Frightened Rabbit will be joined by the likes of Glasgow based newcomers CHVRCHES, hotly tipped production team Disclosure, bass duo Chase & Status and Grime pioneer turned pop icon Dizzee Rascal.
Editors are currently hard at work on their new album, but vowed to take time out to perform at Balado. Drummer Ed Lay commented:
“It is our pleasure to be coming back up to T in the Park this summer, after what seems like an age. Editors have undergone some changes in the last 12 months, but we have come out the other side a more determined band with a bunch of new songs that we think you are going to like. We can't wait to get back amongst it with some special festival crowds, and where could be a better place to do that than T in the Park?”
Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 22nd).
T In The Park runs between July 12th - 14th.
