This year's Mojo Awards took place last night in London, with newcomers Fleet Foxes and White Lies both winning awards.

The night took shape with Blur being given the coveted Mojo Inspiration award, whilst The Manic Street Preachers (new album reviewed HERE) bagged the Maverick Award and also played a triumphant 90 minute set at London's Forum to mark the occasion.

Seattle folk newcomers Fleet Foxes won the Best Live Act gong, whilst doom-popsters White Lies got the Mojo Breakthrough Award, a title previously credited to Last Shadow Puppets.

The modfather Paul Weller won the Mojo Best Album award for his ninth solo effort '22 Dreams', whilst psychedelic rockers The Zombies sprawling '68 album 'Odessey & Oracle' won in the Classic Album stakes.

Yoko Ono was given the final honour, with the artist being bestowed the Mojo Lifetime Achievement Award. Ono has recently been involved in various projects, from judging Haiku to recording a forthcoming E.P. and an album, 'My Head And The Sky', set for release in September.
