Modest Mouse For Open’er

Polish event expands

Modest Mouse are amongst the latest names to be confirmed for Polish festival Open'er.

Rapidly becoming a name to look out for on the festival calendar, Open'er has grown into an Eastern European powerhouse. Situated in Poland, the event is becoming a valid choice for more and more British fans.

Looking at the latest additions to the line up, it's easy to see why. Expanding once again, Open'er is set to host an appearance from reclusive American indie types Modest Mouse.

With former guitarist Johnny Marr producing a new album, surely the band are overdue fresh material? Regardless, it will be fascinating to watch Modest Mouse plough through their archive at the Gdynia site.

Elsewhere, British group Editors are set to perform while 90s rockers Skunk Anansie have also been added to the bill. Still revelling in their Mercury victory, alt-j are set to travel out to Eastern Europe this summer to take part in the Open'er festivities.

Don't forget that this year's headliners include Blur, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age with plenty more acts yet to be unveiled.
