MOBO Award Nominations - Full List
Dizzee Rascal leads the way
The MOBO Awards ceremony is heading for Glasgow, and organisers have revealed the full list of nominations.
Traditionally held in London, MOBO celebrated music of black origin. Always controversial, the ceremonies contention that some genres are exclusively of black design has always led to hearty debate.
That said, anything that celebrates genres of music often hidden on the fringes of the British music scene can only be a good thing. Plus, the MOBO awards never fail to stir up controversy - such as when Leona Lewis failed to show at last year's bash and was promptly booed.
Moving up to Glasgow is a huge risk by organisers, who have left behind one of the bastions of British urban music. However the Scottish city has a mean music scene to boast about, including the bass heavy hip hop explorations of the LuckyMe collective.
The MOBO award nominations are in and Dizzee Rascal dominates. Down for 'Best UK Act' the 'Bonkers' star has been given the nod in a host of categories. Not far behind, however, are Tinchy Stryder, N-Dubz and Chipmunk who all aim to steal Dizzee's thunder.
Taking place in Glasgow's SECC on September 30th, this year's MOBO Awards are set to be more spectacular than ever.
