Mick Jagger - OAP
Rolling Stone Turns 65
Sir Mick Jagger, knight of the realm and rock 'n' roll legend, is set to blow out all 65 candles on his birthday cake after the Rolling Stones frontman celebrated his birthday at the weekend.
Yes, the ever youthful icon of the swinging sixties has become a pensioner - Mick Jagger has reached the age of 65. Jagger is a founding member of the Rolling Stones, the band who turned bad boy behaviour and bluesy riffing into a tidy little earner. The singer is said to be worth in the region of £230 million, but will now by able to draw his £87 a week pension under British law.
Sir Mick is an astute businessman and is reported to be the main instigator behind the Rolling Stones banking policy - an elaborate affair that minimizes the taxes the band have to pay on earnings. As well as this, Jagger is a keen fan of languages and can speak several to a high standard.
However, it is still his hip shaking and heart breaking skills that Jagger is best known for. The OAP currently owns a film production company as well as continually touring with the Rolling Stones, with retirement seemingly the last thing on his mind.
