The wait is over!

The long wait is over - tickets for the much talked about Michael Jackson residency at the O2 Arena have gone on sale.

Jacko is back. After more than a decade in the wilderness, battling court charges and money problems the 'Thriller' star has people talking about him for the right reasons.

Bringing back memories of Jackson when he strode the world as a pop colossus, the upcoming shows have caught the public's imagination in a way that few live events have.

With the residency now extended to an historic 50 shows, tickets are set to go on sale today (March 13th). Around three quarters of a million tickets were sold as part of a pre-sale offer, with up to one million tickets available in total.

Today's general sale represents the last chance to buy tickets. Already, briefs for the event have appeared on eBay attracting bids of more than $10,000.

Michael Jackson introduced the residency at a press conference last week. Titled 'This Is It' the singer promised a greatest hits set, with press reports suggesting that he will open with his classic track 'Billie Jean'.
