Michael Jackson 'This Is It' Premiere

Film due to open in October

Late pop megastar Michael Jackson's documentary 'This Is It' is set to premiere next month.

Michael Jackson's life has been honoured in many ways. On what would have been his 51st birthday fans around the world held impromptu concerts, including a recording breaking 'Thriller' based dance routine in Mexico.

The singer's brother Jemaine Jackson attempted to organise a massive concert in Austria. However after encountering problems with the line up the plan was scrapped, with Jackson vowing to arrange another concert in London next year.

However fans could soon get a glimpse of Michael Jackson on the big screen with the premiere of the new documentary film 'This Is It'. Recorded during rehearsals for the singer's proposed O2 Arena shows, the film is eagerly awaited by fans.

Announced earlier this year the massive residency was the subject of much debate among fans. A few shots from rehearsals have leaked, with 'This Is It' set to contain the entire show plus commentary.

'This Is It' is set to be shown in over 25 locations across the world. The London premiere is due to take place at 1am (BST) on October 28th at the Odeon Cinema.

This will occur at the same time as the Los Angeles premiere - taking place at 6pm local time on October 27th. Following the premiere, UK audiences will be able to see the film on October 28th for a limited two-week run.

The first public screenings of 'This Is It' will also be carefully timed, with the debut Los Angeles showing set for 9pm, the first in New York at midnight and the first in London at 4am.
