MGMT For Soul Collective Tour
Free entry jaunt confirmed
Brooklyn space cadets MGMT are set to take part in the free 'Soul Collective' tour.
In this credit crunch era, with unemployment soaring and job losses announced every day, it's heartening to hear of an effort to give away something for free. Soul Collective is a new tour which will take in a host of cities across the United States, with the entry price set at zero.
All fans have to do to gain entry is test drive a Kia Soul in the lead up to the show - not a bad deal really. Beginning in Seattle on August 20th the shows will wind their way across America until they conclude with a spectacular event in Los Angeles.
Headliners for the Soul Collective event are MGMT. The Brooklyn duo recently played V Festival, performing a cheeky version of 'Live Forever' after main act Oasis were forced to pull out.
Joining them on the jaunt are the likes of superstar dancehall mash up Major Lazer, lo fi heroes No Age, Dan Deacon and more.
Santigold is set to play a host of dates, with the Brooklyn singer currently working on her much anticipated second album. Due to appear on Beastie Boys' new effort 'Hot Sauce Committee' these are exciting times for the singer.
Also set to appear on the tour are The Clipse, The Maine, The Miniature Tigers, Dear And The Headlights, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and more.
Soul Collective kicks off on August 20th and finishes in Seattle on November 8th.
