Fast rising Peckham indie group The Metros have announced an unusual collaboration - with dancehall hero and dubstep producer Toddla T.
Released for free in July, the resultant track combines the indie bluster of the The Metros with Toddla T's dancehall sensibility. As it turns out, the two acts got on famously with The Metros revealing themselves to be huge dubstep fans.
Titled "The Clubhouse Riddim" it is a riotous classic-in-waiting, with both parties pleased with the result. The Metros have spent the bulk of this year touring, releasing two singles in the process. Toddla T has been busy extensively DJ-ing and remixing acts such as Jack Penate and Hot Chip.
Featuring long time Todda MC Trigganom, the track is a bouncy, joyful anthem that combines the best of indie and dubstep music. The Metros release their own single "Last Of The Lookers" on June 2nd.
"The Clubhouse Riddim" by The Metros and Toddla T is set to be released on July 14th.
