Metronomy have teased new material with a clip on their website.
Begun as a left field electronic project, Metronomy's gradual evolution into one of the country's most mature, sophisticated pop outfits has been a real joy to behold. 2011's 'The English Riviera' earned a Mercury nomination, while the subsequent tour took Metronomy around the globe.
Taking time off, Joe Mount curated an edition of Late Night Tales while bass player OLUGBENGA has led a fascinating solo career. Heading back into the studio, the band appear to be stirring.
A few moments ago Metronomy tweeted for the first time in 12 months, pointing fans towards their website where a ten second clip plays on a loop. Imagery featuring the phrase 'I'm Aquarius' is also displayed.
Could this be the title of a new single, or even an album? Or does it point to a release date sitting somewhere between January 20th and February 18th?
It's not much, but it's all we've got...
