Canadian synth-pop stormers Metric are due to return with a new single and tour, having just released their fourth LP 'Fantasies'.
Led by singer Emily Haines - who herself also plays in influential collective Broken Social Scene - Metric have been building their return since their '05 album 'Live It Out' saw them score their most successful LP to date.
The group breezed back with a collection of hyper-pop blasts on fourth effort 'Fantasies' last month. Showing a more melodic edge to the band, 'Fantasies' expanded on the world-beating echoes of former hit 'Monster Hospital' whilst ushering in a spiky new direction.
Metric will now continue their live assault by playing five UK shows and releasing their new single 'Sick Muse' on 18th May - Clash Music recently caught up with the band to get the lowdown on the new record, side projects and much more - you can read it HERE, tickets available below.
