Metallica Live DVD Due

Explosive French show captured

An stunning show from Metallica's recent tour is set to be captured on the forthcoming DVD 'Francais Pour Une Nuit'.

Metallica returned last year with one of their most explosive albums in almost 20 years. 'Death Magnetic' was the band's tenth studio effort but showed all the drive, poise and passion of a newcomer.

Returning to their thrash roots Metallica delighted fans, celebrating the release with a special induction concert at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Since then the band have toured almost constantly. In Britain, Metallica set the concert record for the O2 Arena before returning six months later to shatter their own achievement.

Blending volume with drama, Metallica's live show is set to be captured on the forthcoming DVD 'Francais Pour Une Nuit'. Filmed at the Roman Coliseum in Nimes, France in July of 2009 this is the band's first ever full length live DVD.

Emerging from a gladiator's tunnel the group then blast their way through 'Death Magnetic' alongside a host of live favourites.

Whilst deeply American the new DVD is a strictly French only affair. The concert was filmed, recorded, and edited with French camera and recording crews, the artwork was created by a French design team while even credits are in French.

Available only though the internet (apart from in France, strangely enough) the new DVD will be available in a variety of formats with Metallica working to include a number of special bonus features.
