Thrash legends Metallica are set to play a fantastic gig at the O2 Arena on September 15th, and details are emerging of a unique collaboration with the best selling game guitar hero.

To celebrate a rare British live appearance from Metallica the O2 Arena will throw open its doors for the entire day on September 15th. The event is set to include Guitar Hero giveaways, a chance to hear 'Death Magnetic' in its entirety and DJ sets from Metal Hammer DJ's James Isaacs, Terry Bezer and James Gill as well as Radio 1 Rock Show host and all-round top man Daniel P Carter.

The Metallica pre-show will run from 2pm - 8pm, with an after party set to run until 1.30am. Entry will be free for those who are going to the gig and you will need to be over 18 to gain entry.
