McCartney On Lost Beatles Track

'Carnival Of Light' Details

Famously lost - and once presumed imaginary - Beatles track 'Carnival Of Light' could be set for release soon, but Sir Paul McCartney has warned that it is extremely experimental.

The track was apparently recorded for an avant-garde fair in 1967, and was presumed lost. The 14 minute long 'song' is said to be very experimental and free-form in nature.

Earlier this year McCartney told Radio 4 that "the time has come for it to get its moment."

Now in an interview with the Times, the former Beatle has revealed more details about the track. "I was like: 'I don't think you’d like it,'" he said. "People are thinking there's another 'Strawberry Fields' (referring to 1967 psychedelic classic 'Strawberry Fields Forever') somewhere... this is more plinky-plonky. I mean, I like it, but it's not to everyone's taste."

Sir Paul McCartney recently released his new album 'Electric Arguments' as part of his The Fireman project.
