McCartney Goes On London Date

Former Beatle courts new beau

Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has hit the London nightlife with his new girlfriend Nancy Shevell.

Nearly forty years on from the Beatles split, Sir Paul McCartney remains a figure beloved by the British public. His messy divorce from Heather Mills saw the model turned into a hate figure, causing a groundswell of support for McCartney.

The musician turned away from the public eye, working on a new album with his project The Fireman. The group's new album 'Electric Argument' was released last year to great acclaim, with McCartney seemingly rejuvenated and at ease with his musical legacy.

The singer recently attended the premiere of the film 'The Boat That Rocked' with his new girlfriend Nancy Shevell. A close friend of McCartney's for many years, the pair apparently entered a relationship late last year.

According to sources at the aftershow party the pair had a great time, with McCartney at one point heading on to the dancefloor to gyrate to 'Satisfaction'.

A source told British tabloid newspaper The Mirror "Paul was having a great time. He was on brilliant form, mingling with party goers. Fans were asking for pictures and he was happily obliging and Nancy looked so loved-up and content."

"As well as speaking to the movie cast, including Rhys Ifans and Bill Nighy, Paul made a big deal of introducing Nancy to his friends Twiggy and Kenneth Branagh."

"He looked quite nervous but soon they were laughing like old friends and the idea of a dinner party was mooted."
