Matt Berry Presents ‘Music For Insomniacs’

A lush, new age record...

Perhaps best known as a comedy actor, Matt Berry began life as a musician.

Returning to his first love, the singer has released a string of bizarrely wonderful albums on Acid Jazz.

Now he's set to unveil the lush, new age influenced stylings of 'Music For Insomniacs'. The title is to be taken literally, with Matt Berry drawing on his own experience of sleep deprivation.

"insomnia was something I suffered on my own" he explained, "so I wanted the creation of this album to be an equally solitary experience. It had to be completely personal so I knew I had to record every note myself."

Out on May 19th, the album will be preceded by 'Music For Insomniacs Part IV' b/w 'Lost Contact' on Record Store Day (April 19th, write it down).

Listen to 'Music For Insomniacs Part IV' below.

Matt Berry has confirmed the following shows:

April
4 Tunbridge Wells Forum
5 Manchester The Ruby Lounge
6 Leeds Brudenell Social Club
7 Nottingham Rescue Rooms
8 Bristol Thekla
9 London The Garage
