Surveying their 2013 output...

Matador Records have pieced together a new compilation surveying their 2013 output.

Times are tough for independent music, but Matador Records seem to be thriving. The longstanding American imprint have carefully curated their roster, matching true legends against hugely acclaimed newcomers.

New compilation 'It's Been A Business Doing Pleasure With You' brings this altogether in one place. Need a handy introduction to Matador? Then this'll do nicely...

The final resting place of Sonic Youth, the group's off shoots are well represented. Kim Gordon's wonderful Body/Head appears, while Thurston Moore's Chelsea Light Moving earn their place alongside Lee Ranaldo and The Dust.

Savages are included, while the compilation also contains material from exclusive and non-album tracks from Queens of the Stone Age, Savages, Yo La Tango, Iceage and Kurt Vile.

Kept to a budget price, the physical edition is only through independent record stores. The digital edition, meanwhile, can be purchased for £3.49 via iTunes - order link.
