What's better than seeing your favourite band in a historic London venue? Seeing your favourite band FOR FREE in a historic London venue, perhaps. That's exactly what the iTunes Festival is offering with the event taking over the Roundhouse for an entire month.
Joining the iTunes crew are some of Britain's top live acts. Oasis are currently on a tour of their own, playing some of their biggest venues in a decade. Slane Castle, Murrayfield and Heaton Park have all been stormed, now the Manchester legends are keen for a new challenge.
One of their most intimate shows this year, the band's forthcoming trip to the Roundhouse marks a rare chance for fans to catch their heroes in such a small environment. Joining the band in the month long orgy of live music are some of Britain's biggest acts.
Franz Ferdinand's new album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand' soared into number one earlier this year, and the band have just announced a mammoth UK tour. One of the nation's most popular groups, Franz Ferdinand have agreed to perform in the intimate confines of the Roundhouse.
Also due to perform are Kasabian and Snow Patrol. The Northern Irish giants recently played an enormous hometown show in Belfast, with thousands of fans celebrating their return. Joining them were the Northern Irish international football team, who are unlikely to be in attendance at the Roundhouse.
Taking place between July 1st - 31st, the bill also includes such groups as Flo Rida, MIKA, Paolo Nutini, Placebo, The Saturdays and many more.
Tickets for each show are free, with fans having to enter a simple competition to stand a chance of gaining entry. So far over one million people have taken part, with more information HERE!
For those who miss out, each performance is set to be recorded and sold exclusively on iTunes, and will be broadcast on a variety of television and radio channels.
