Massive Attack, Lorde, Elbow and more are to issue one off charity singles later this year.
With the much vaunted vinyl revival continuing to accelerate, more and more fans are flocking back to wax. With this in mind, War Child have teamed up with seven stellar acts for the Secret 7" project - a series of limited edition seven inch singles.
Coinciding with Record Store Day, the full list of contributing artists is extremely Clash-friendly. Former cover star Lorde will issue 'Team' while classic acts such as Roxy Music and Black Sabbath will also take part.
Elbow are set to issue 'Grounds For Divorce' while Massive Attack will use their 1995 track 'Karmacoma'. Each track will be pressed 100 times, before being packaged in one of 700 hand crafted sleeves.
Placed on sale as part of Record Store Day, fans will be able to buy each single for £45. The trick? Well both band and artist will remain anonymous, meaning that fans won't know what they've purchased until it arrives.
Given that previous contributing artists include the likes of David Shrigley this could well prove to be a wise investment...
