Mark Ronson Launches New Project

With Interpol, Spike Jonze...

Producer Mark Ronson has launched a new project which aims to push back the boundaries of creativity and technology.

With his work on the Amy Winehouse album 'Back To Black' Mark Ronson pushed himself into the upper echelons of the music industry. Launching a new wave of psuedo-soul acts, the album is a benchmark for modern female performers.

Due to return with his new album later this year, Mark Ronson has now decided to launch a new project which expands beyond music. The Creators will involve some well known name, pushing past the boundaries of technology.

Spread across the world, the global scheme will involve artists such as Interpol, Phoenix and award winning director Spike Jonze. Aimed at using technology to unite artistic disciplines, the project will launch on June 26th in New York.

Speaking to the NME Mark Ronson said: "Whether it's in a studio making music, or using UV technology to make some new mindbeinding light design for a nightclub, this is for all people of a technological age."

"It could - or could not, of course - be some game changing shit that comes out of this," Ronson continued.

"It's all a bit greedy and selfish really, but part of the reason I'm down with this project is because I really wanna find the next kid who's doing it and nick his ideas for myself to make a really great show out of it!"

Mark Ronson isn't the only person to be creating artificial communities. Brian Eno recently put his 'scen-ius' ideas into practice with a special concert in Brighton starring Underworld's Karl Hyde amongst others.

The Creators hit London on July 17th.
