Manic Street Preachers are set to release new album 'Rewind The Film' on September 16th.
Reclaiming their status as one of the country's biggest guitar bands, Manic Street Preachers went back into the studio last year with a clear thirst for invention. Judging by recent interviews with James Dean Bradfield, sessions could well have stretched across two studio albums.
For now, one will do. Manic Street Preachers are set to release new album 'Rewind The Film' on September 16th, with lead single 'Show Me The Wonder' set to drop the week before.
The title track has emerged online, and features a brooding performance from Richard Hawley. "I am so chuffed to have been asked to sing with the mighty Manics, can't tell you what it means to me" the Sheffield based artist explained. "The whole experience is something I'll treasure forever - I love the Manics and what they stand for and to be a tiny part of that means the world to me."
Recorded in their own studio Faster in Cardiff, Rockfield in Monmouthshire and Hansa in Berlin, the album has an unexpected counterpart. Asked to compare it to their own work, the band said: “(If) this record has a relation in the Manics back catalogue, it's probably the sedate coming of age that was 'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours'."
