Madness are set to re-issue their cult 1981 film 'Take It Or Leave It'.
The product of a traditional North London environment now long since vanished, Madness are as recognisably London as red buses or black cabs. A British pop institution, the band recently decided to look back on the early years of their career.
Initially released in 1981, 'Take It Or Leave It' charts the band's rise. From their early gigs in pubs to simply having fun on London streets, its the profile of a group of ska inspired youngsters who would go on to shatter chart records.
Long since out of print, the film has been spruced up for a major re-issue. Released on October 7th, the accompanying soundtrack album contains a raft of hit singles, album tracks and B-sides.
A trailer for the film has gone live, and London seems to be the star of the show - a city mid-way between Victorian England and its current rejuvenation, Madness rampage around Camden before the term 'gastropub' had even been invented.
