Luke Pritchard To Play G20 Rally

As well as releasing tickets for their forthcoming Leamington Spa gig today, The Kooks' Luke Pritchard is also to play a solo set at a political rally in London tomorrow (March 28th).

The G20 summit is set to take place next week, and tomorrow will see thousands gather in the City's Victoria Embankment to make their voices heard. Political leaders from around the world will descend on London for the summit next week, with the global financial crisis expected to be high on the agenda.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, the singer announced he will play “two or three songs” at the event, adding "G20 gives us the opportunity to go and say to the people we elected and say 'This is how we feel'. And they have to listen, non-violent protest works."

The Kooks are also set to return for a one-off show at the Assembly venue in Leamington Spa, tickets for which went on sale today.
