Wolverhampton date confirmed

Lou Reed has added an extra British show to his upcoming European summer tour.

Lou Reed is set for a busy summer. The singer has already confirmed the release of a new concert DVD, capturing his career spanning performance at Chicago festival Lollapalooza in 2009.

Set to be released in July, the DVD will be accompanied by a new tour. Arranging a series of European dates, Lou Reed has already confirmed two special British shows due to take place this summer.

The singer will perform at The Hop Farm, appearing alongside legends such as Patti Smith and Morrissey. A mouth watering bill, Lou Reed is also planning a headline show in London on July 4th.

Taking place in the Hammersmith Apollo, the show is part of a wider European tour. Taking in shows across France, Italy and more Lou Reed has just announced plans for an extra British show.

Taking place in Wolverhampton on July 1st, the show will use the city's Civic Hall. Tickets are priced at £35 and are on sale now!

Meanwhile, Lou Reed has revealed some of the musicians who will form the spine of his live band. BM Link lynchpin Tony Diodore will play guitar, with the New York based musician joining a line up which also features Rob Wasserman (bass), Tony Smith (drums), Kevin Hearn (keyboards) and more.

The European tour launches in July, and pays particular attention to Italy. Lou Reed has confirmed a number of tour dates, ranging from Rome and Milan in the North all the way down to Sicily.
