Lostprophets' singer Ian Watkins has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.

In one of the most shocking cases of its kind, Lostprophets' singer Ian Watkins was charged with numerous sex offences earlier this year. Working with two young women, the singer was accused to creating child pornography and conspiring to abuse a baby amongst numerous other charges.

Found guilty, the singer was sentenced this afternoon (December 18th). Wales Online reports that Ian Watkins was handed a 29 year year jail sentence, with an extended licence of another six years.

Handing down the sentence, Mr Justice Royce said: "I am satisfied that you are a deeply corrupting influence. You are highly manipulative. You are a sexual predator. You are dangerous. The public, and in particular young females and children, need protection from you."

According to reports, Watkins was visibly shaking as he was taken away while the judge summed up the case by stating: "It's difficult to imagine anything much worse."

Woman A was sentenced to 14 years in prison, while Woman B got 17 years in prison.
