Oasis

Jay-Z has hit back at Noel Gallagher over the Oasis man’s criticism of hip-hop appearing at Glastonbury.

After Noel Gallagher’s catty comments about this year’s Glastonbury line up – it has a hip-hop headliner instead of “traditional guitar music” - Jay Z has stepped into the fray himself. The rapper has exclaimed that the Oasis guitarist should be more open-minded about music.

Jay Z insisted that rap and urban music is important to world music and wants people to accept the world is changing – meaning that it may be time to step out of the festival comfort zone.

Along with Jay Z, other acts playing the festival include Kings of Leon, The Verve, Massive Attack and Groove Armada. This year has seen the slowest sales of Glastonbury tickets in years, with briefs still available after being on sale for over a month.

Glastonbury runs over the weekend 27th to 29th June in Somerset.
